Earlier in the week was the Winter Solstice and I blogged about what we did during the morning but to celebrate even further we went to a local Winter Solstice festival tonight and although it was cold it was a very cool experience. Bonfires, woodfired pizza, rugged up babies, and live music – we couldn’t have asked for much more than that!

  1. ohhh that looks and sounds amazing… how fun!!!! 🙂 what a great family night out. But i had to laugh at your cold QLD evening which involves a light jumper for all. here in canberra that would be jumpers covered by massive heavy duty jacket, beanies, scarves etc!! ahhhh qld life is pretty nice for the warmth!

    • haha, yeah our winters are nothing like yours I can imagine! Actually it wasn’t nearly as cold as I had expected it to be that night, but still we aren’t usually out till 9:30pm at night in winter so it was a bit of a different experience for us all 🙂

  2. The winter solstice comes each year between December 21 to 23 in the Northern Hemisphere, and June 20 to 23 in the Southern Hemisphere, so you can do this every year as a way to start over and reboot your life.
